So how is it in Lollis Homestay?

 1. Be clean --> yes, no doubt

 2. Have no more than 4 beds per dorm --> no, we also have bigger dormitories (5, 6 and 8 beds). But we also have smaller ones, so people can choose wether they prefer to safe money or to have a bit more of comfort

 3. Have en suite bathrooms --> no, all of our bathrooms are shared. But thats with purpose, whats the sense of a bathroom in a dormitory? The noise, the light and the smell of a bathroom belong, IMHO not inside a shared room. Its different with a private room.

 4. Be safe, with personal lockers --> yes, thats important. We have lockers in all dormitories, 24 hours reception in the main season, access control with a door code, rooms can be locked etc.

 5. Have an outdoor and indoor communal area, preferably containing a ping-pong or foozball table --> yes, we have a cozy communal area, unfortunately to small for a foozball table. Its rather a nice kitchen and some couches and chairs to hang out and talk and eat and read and listen to music etc.

 6. Pick me up from the airport or bus/train station by minivan --> Wtf? Do you also want become feeded? Do you want others to do everything for you? I recommend taking a light backpack and go and walk and see as much as possible and explore the world on your own. Our hostel is not far from the train station anyway!

 7. Have a large communal kitchen --> we have one, fully equipped

 8. Have a small bar at nights serving cheap local beverages --> yes, we have a fridge in the common room, half a liter of beer costs 2 €. No bar, but you will not die of thirst if you don't want to.

 9. Have a laundry room --> yes, we have a washing machine and a thumble drier
 10. Have private bedrooms (for those tired of dorms) --> yes, we have singles, doubles and other rooms can be used privately as well

 11. Have a swimming pool (if necessary) --> Of course! And a private car with a chauffeur, free drugs of all kind, free deliciuos food all day long, ...

 12. Have computers with internet access --> We have that. Thats important. But only one computer. If there a more everybody will sit in front of the computer and not talk to other fellow travellers anymore. Thats not the idea of a hostel how it should be (at least for me)

 13. Have free wi-fi --> We have wi-fi, but its not free, though cheaper then the computer. There are costs, like the internet access itself and security is an issue. Also, again, I prefer people talking to each other rather then everybody just looking on his/her screen

 14. Be run by some friendly local staff --> Thats the case with us. All staff is working here for a while and they are from Dresden, so they are all competent

 15. Be close to (or in) the city or in an interesting suburb/national park --> Lollis Homestay is located right in the center of the Neustadt quarter, the bohemian district of Dresden.

 16. Have someone on reception 24 hours a day --> we have that from April to October and December. In the low season there is simply no need for this.
