Great stay, the crowd is pretty young and the area has a lot of great bars filled with a younger college audience. Very nice. The room, however, was a decent little walk from the downtown Dresden area

incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, fun room theming, social but not overly so to where it was inconvenience, free breakfast and coffee, plenty of space in cozy common areas. loved my time here!

This is the best hostel I have stayed at! The vibe was amazing, the staff were lovely and very easy and quick to communicate with via email regarding checkin, the walking tour and hiking guides are awesome and we actually extended our stay because we just loved it so much. Would 100% recommend and I hope I have the opportunity to come back ????

Stay at this hostel if you can! It was seriously a highlight of my whole semester abroad so far. The staff and atmosphere are so community oriented and I had a blast at the events they organized. The building itself is beautiful and decorated in such an interesting way and I met like the coolest people ever in just one day. I could not recommend staying here enough!!

The best hostel I have stayed in. The staff were really helpful. The location is in the heart of New town which is a super lively part of Dresden. The general atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and it was easy to meet cool people and find things to do. Thanks to the great volunteers at Lollis Homestay. I’ll be back!

This hostel had everything I needed. Highly recommend the walking tour maps in reception - there’s some great sites on them. Washing service for €8 was convenient too.

Great place to stay, cozy and very friendly. The staff are extremely useful and ready to help you with whatever you need. The atmosphere at the hostel is second to none. Liked: Geweldig! Super gezellig ingericht, heel vriendelijk personeel en super proper. Gratis koffie en thee beschikbaar, en op sommige dagen gratis avondeten. Ik wou dat ik hier langer was gebleven! Disliked: Niets.

Liked: Me gustó que las camas cuentan con cortinas incorporadas, lo que brinda mayor privacidad y comodidad.

Liked: Es sind alle sehr freundlich hier- die Gäste genauso wie das Personal. Man kommt super einfach zusammen & das Hostel selbst hat quasi jeden Tag top Angebote und Aktivitäten. Sogar kostenlos Abendsessen gab es einen Tag! Ich kann es jedem empfehlen, der gerne nette neue Leute kennenlernt. Die Zimmer sind komfortabel, das Frühstück lecker und üppig. Disliked: Nichts.

Liked: Great atmosphere, very easy to meet other travellers in a comfortable common area, friendly and welcoming staff - had a great stay and would definitely return!

I haven't stayed in a better hostel! The bed arrangements were a little odd and I'm not sure how I would feel about them if I liked the people in my room less, but everything else, from the staff to my fellow travelers, was fantastic.

Классная живая атмосфера в духе Нойштадта, очень рада, что остановилась именно в этом месте и районе. Два раза брала завтрак на месте — все просто, но достойно (подходит для веганов). В целом вариант молодежный для бэкпэкеров, усталый ремонт и расслабленное отношение к порядку соответствующее, но в моем случае не вызвало никаких неудобств — только радость. Полотенца за доплату.

Great little 'Old School' hostel. Super friendly staff, nice little kitchen area with free coffee. Located in a really nice part of Dresden Neustadt, loads of bars and food places nearby and a great little park just around the corner. Highly recommended!

Liked: solo traveler or with friends/partner..this is a great hostel!..in the heart of neustadt district and near the big park (great food market on some days at the park also)..20min walk to the city center..rooms are cozy with power sockets near the bed..and the staff is helpful and kind..all in all must say..one of the best i've stayed at! Disliked: no complaints!

L’ostello si trova in una zona molto centrale di Dresda, un quartiere molto giovanile. È circondato da bar e ristoranti molto carini. Gli host sono molto gentili. Siamo state in una camerata femminile da 6. È presente un locker per ciascun ospite all’interno della stanza. I bagni sono estremamente puliti. Noi eravamo al primo piano ed erano presenti due docce e due bagni singoli. Non abbiamo mai trovato coda. La zona comune è molto cozy, sono presenti vari divani. Molto apprezzato il tè e caffè americano gratuito per tutto il giorno. È anche disponibile la colazione all you can eat a pagamento. Consigliamo vivamente di stare in questo ostello, ha il vibe caratteristico degli ostelli con carattere.

Чому ви знущаєтеся зі своїх гостей? Я не можу змиритися із цією традицією. Її треба позбутися. Коли приїздить новий гість, йому дають постіль та ключ, потім навантажують купою різної інформації, після чого він видирається із своїм багажем на третій поверх без ліфту. Потім він знаходить своє ліжко і тут дізнається, що в нього немає рушника. Тепер гість мусить спуститися з третього поверху без ліфту на рецепцію, щоби взяти рушник. І ТАК КОЖНОГО РАЗУ В РІЗНИХ ХОСТЕЛАХ! якщо ти забув про рушник, коли був на рецепції, то ти тупий ідіот і мусиш за це страждати. В магазині тупому клієнту пропонують пакет, або ще щось, що він можливо забув. Чому не можна одразу під час реєстрації пропонувати людям рушник? Чому!?

Liked: It’s in an area with a lot of shops, bars, and restaurants. It has a hippie vibe. Staff was very friendly. The common areas were nice with constant movement and conversation but not overly crowded. Disliked: My room was on the fourth floor so it was a solid climb every time I went up. The room was small without a closet. There’s a lot of graffiti in the neighborhood.

We definitely are in the hippie area, so you caught on to the vibe really well! We understand that climbing to the 3rd floor can be a little tiring, unfortunately, this was the only space and was specifically the room which you had booked, so we could not change that. We do make it clear online that we have rooms on upper floors and do not have an elevator, however. Yes, the graffiti comes from the old anarchaic history of the New Town. It is not a representation of anything other than self-expression. During the DDR, the government did not care about the New Town, and basically left it to its own devices. This freedom brought to us a lot of young people and artists, who used graffiti as an expression against the DDR. This culture is alive and thriving here today, as well. Liked: Es muss einen bewusst sein ,dass das Hostel im einem Szeneviertel von Dresden liegt. Straßenbahn und Bus sind schnell zu erreichen der Bahnhof Neustadt liegt etwas weiter entfernt aber auch zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Disliked: Das Viertel (nicht der komplette Stadtteil)wird von den Einheimischen auch das Assi-Viertel genannt,sollte eigentlich schon alles sagen.

Obwohl wir es zu schätzen wissen, dass Du uns insgesamt ziemlich gute Bewertungen gegeben hast, können und dürfen wir eine falsche Darstellung der Gegend oder des Hostels nicht unbeantwortet lassen. Die Neustadt ist sicherlich nicht als „Assi-Viertel” bekannt. Ich weiß nicht, woher Du diese Information hast. Die Neustadt ist bekannt für ihre Fortschrittlichkeit, ihre antifaschistischen Ansichten und ihre Inklusivität. Sie ist der offenste und toleranteste Teil Dresdens, in dem viele verschiedene Menschen zusammenkommen können, aber vielleicht entspricht dieser offene, fortschrittliche und alternative Stil nicht Deinem Geschmack. Das ist in Ordnung, denn nicht jede Gegend passt zu jedem Menschen. Da du jedoch mit einer Junggesellenabschiedsgruppe angereist bist, möchten wir auch darauf hinweisen, dass ihr euch als Gruppe für das Party-Viertel entschieden habt und selbst unangemessenes Verhalten gezeigt habt, indem ihr eine Gummipuppe im Zimmer aufgestellt, nach Frauen im Zimmer gefragt und uns Tonnen von Bierflaschen (und besagte Gummipuppe) zum Aufräumen hinterlassen habt. Das ist doch irgendwie „Assi“-Verhalten, oder? In diesem Fall denken wir, dass wir einfach nicht zueinander gepasst haben, und wir würden Euch bitten, bei Eurem nächsten Besuch in Dresden eine andere Unterkunft zu suchen. Bitte veröffentlicht jedoch keine irreführenden Informationen im Internet. Wir werden diese widerlegen und zu unseren Idealen der Akzeptanz und Offenheit stehen – sonst könnten wir kein Backpacker-Hostel sein. Das Lollis Homestay.

Dear Guest, We appreciate your high score and review, and are very glad that you could rest well and enjoy the bed. That is great! However, we would like to remind you, that we are a backpacker hostel, and not a hotel. Services such as carrying luggage to your rooms for you does not fall on us, nor is it our responsibility to remind you about towels. As an adult, you also have the capacity at check-in to ask us for whatever you need or want, and that is your responsibility. The full services and costs also hangs at the reception, and no where online does it state that towels are included, so that you assumed so is not our mistake. As you said yourself, this happens in most hostels, because adults are considered to be independent and capable of communicating needs. It is a little unfair to be taking out your frustration on a standard-industry practice here or on us. Ho alloggiato una notte a Lollis Homestay. Devo dire che mi sono trovata benissimo! Ostello pulito, curato e tenuto in modo impeccabile. É stata una bella esperienza condividere la stanza con persone sconosciute; tutte amichevoli e simpatiche. Ho potuto anche lasciare il mio zaino all’interno dell’ostello durante il mio ultimo giorno di visite per evitare di portare tutto il peso durante la camminata. Posizione comoda da raggiungere dalla stazione Dresden-Neustadt, sia a piedi (circa 15 minuti) che coi mezzi. Unica pecca: di notte (almeno nel weekend) la zona, essendo zona di locali e giovani, é abbastanza rumorosa. Grazie mille❤️

Das Hostel liegt mitten in der Äußeren Neustadt mit vielen Bars, Cafés, Street Art und einem sehr lebendigen Viertel drumherum — perfekt, wenn man das „echte Dresden“ erleben will. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und gibt gute Tipps. Mir schien der Preis fair für das, was geboten wird. Günstige Mehrbettzimmer.Gemeinschaftsküche, kostenfreier Kaffee/Tee , einfach top.Da lebendiges Viertel, etwas laut. Was mich nicht gestört hat. Leider kein Aufzug.

location was awesome and this was a superrrr cute hostel! felt unique and homey and not like one of those cookie cutter chain hostels! they could have used more bathrooms/showers :( but it wasn’t full when i was there so no foul no harm

Disliked: Der Geruch im Zimmer war schier unerträglich, das schien allerdings niemanden zu interessieren. Ich bin dann spontan in die Jugendherberge umgezogen. Sehr schade, zumal ich fand, dass auf den Bildern alles sehr nett aussah. Meiner Erfahrung nach kann ich es allerdings leider überhaupt nicht empfehlen

Lieber Gast, es tut uns leid daß du einen so schlechten ersten Eindruck von deinem Zimmer hattest. Du hattest das letzte freie Bett in einem 5-Bettzimmer gebucht, in dem schon 4 andere Männer seit ein paar Tagen vor dir untergebracht waren. Das Zimmer war auf jeden Fall ordentlich gereinigt und gelüftet durch unser Putzpersonal. Daß ein schlechter Geruch in dem Zimmer war kann eigentlich nur daran liegen daß es eben schon bewohnt war bevor du ankamst. Du hättest doch einfach an der Rezeption bescheid geben können daß es dieses Problem gibt, dann hätten wir versucht eine Lösung zu finden. Stattdessen bist du ohne ein weiteres Wort einfach abgereist. Schade, so konntest du die guten Erfahrungen die man an dem Tag bei uns machen konnte nicht machen. Wir hatten an dem Abend ein Picnic im Park nebenan organisiert, und wenn ich so durch unseren Gästechat schaue gab es noch viele Verabredungen und verschiedene Ausflüge unserer Gäste an dem Tag. Wir hoffen du hattest eine entspannte Nacht in der Jugendherberge und wünschen dir alles Gute. Dein Lollis Team.

Was für ein tolles Hostel! Ich war jetzt in über 100 hostels auf der ganzen Welt und dieses hier ist definitiv unter den Top 10! Der Empfang ist herzlich und freundlich und einem wird gleich etwas über die Stadt und wo man sich befindet mitgeteilt. Die Einrichtung ist kreativ und wird nicht langweilig auf Dauer. Küche ist mehr als gut ausgestattet und die Bier Preise ebenso hervorragend. Es gibt fast täglich Aktivitäten, die mit guter Stimmung einhergehen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, ich war mehr als positiv überrascht als ich das 8-Bett Zimmer betreten hab, die abgehängte Decke ist definitiv ein Pluspunkt und die großen Spinde auch. Wer sich das “all you can eat” breakfast gönnt, startet definitiv nicht hungrig in Tag, den ganzen Tag ist für ausreichend Kaffee und Tee gesorgt. Man merkt die Liebe zum Detail in diesem Hostel und kann dieses ganz klar weiter empfehlen! Bisschen vergessen Bilder zu machen…
