if i ever go to dresden again i would love to go to this same hostel. it got the best of everything of a hostel could offer u. group chat, places recommendations, clean room, pretty decoration, welcoming common space, dinners on the house on specific day, coffee and tea are offered, and the staff are really love their job. they take in volunteers too and i think it’s a good thing i had good time and good talk with both Merver and Juan the volunteers.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hostel has a nice kitchen and common area. The junk beds weren’t comfortable and the room was super cold. I slept with my jacket and 3 layers of clothes on top of each other inside the jacket and also with the blanket. It would be the same if I slept outside. The location is nice and the neighborhood was safe to walk around.

Really great place. Lots of charm. Staff was super friendly with us. Security was good as well, felt pretty good.

Liked: Price, laundry service, nice kitchen, free tea, curtains on the bed, enough space in the room Disliked: Self bed making, no private space to change clothes in shower room. (It separates men and women)

Yes, we do give the sheets fresh on arrival, this allows us to set our late-riser friendly check-out time of 12:00 and check-in at 14:00, so we would not change this system. I completely understand the size of the hostel is somewhat frustrating, as it also limits what we can offer in terms of bathroom storage, but when the low season starts, I will discuss this with the general manager, to see if there is some solution. Liked: What I liked most about Lollis Homestay was that from the very first moment I felt welcome and “at home.” The people who took care of us were kind, helpful, spoke excellent English (and even a bit of Czech!), and were extremely accommodating. The atmosphere is inspiring, cozy, and comfortable, and beyond just staying overnight, guests can also take part in community activities, which is great. Thank you, and hopefully see you again sometime!

Liked: The reception was so welcoming( Emma and Marianna). The place is cozy specially the kitchen and the dinning area, feels like home. The tram is close to the accomodation.. Shared is clean, overall the place is clean. Disliked: The heater in our room turns off by itself. The toilet heater is not working( i think), so i always ran as fast as I can in our room after going to the toilet. Towels and slippers are not provided.

I am so glad that you enjoyed the hostel and the unique design which we have, and that we upheld our high cleanliness standards. Secondly, I completely understand that the heating system is a little strange if you are unfarmiliar with it, but the heating does not turn off, it reduces the temperature after a certain number of hours, as part of the environmental-friendly attempts from the hostel to reduce wasting energy, however this can certainly be overridden and I wish you had spoken to us about it and we could have explained the system, or shown you how to set it yourself. I thank you for bringing the toilet to our attention, however, I did already check on it and there are no issues at all, it works fine. Maybe the flusher was not pushed down fully? Yes, as we are a backpacker hostel, we do not have amenities such as slippers, and we would need to raise our prices for everyone to include towels in the service, which we do not want to do, as we are not a hotel. Liked: I loved the homey vibe of the hostel, the hospitality and the cozyness. Emma was very helpful and friendly at the reception. Juan and Melver, the volunteers, prepared a nice dinner for us and we chatted and shared stories :) thank you so much for your time, you encouraged me to travel solo even more now! Liked: One staff member was really helpful and friendly, but another was not very welcoming when I asked questions. Disliked: The room is too dark, there’s no elevator, and the shower room design is impractical, with no proper shelf or space for personal items.

Dear Guest, I am so sorry to hear that you experience with us did not uphold our high standards. Of course, we completely understand that our hippie style does not suit everyone, but nonetheless, we always want our guests to leave us with good, positive memories. If you could be more specific, we would happily look into the situation with the staff member, although I am quite surprised, given that our staff is known for their friendliness and great service. But we are certainly open to your feedback and we can take any necessary action. I am sorry that the room and facilties were not to your liking. Unfortunately, there is not really anything which we can currently do to change some aspects of the hostel, due to design and the fact that this space is rented, so we can only do so much without permission. Liked: Sehr freundliches, hilfsbereites Personal. Kostenloser Glühwein , Tee und Gebäck in der Anmeldung und auch ein preiswertes Frühstück, bei dem auch gleich nachgefüllt wurde, wenn etwas zur Neige ging und da es bis um 12uhr ging, auch nach einer langen Nacht noch hit wahrzunehmen.

Ich war mit Kind und Jugendlichem bei Euch im Trabizimmer. Ganz großartig! Tolle Leute arbeiten (und "wohnen") bei Euch, Frühstück top, Zimmer witzig... Liked: Schön in der Wuseligen Dresdner Neustadt gelegen, erreicht man alles ohne Probleme. Zudem die Familiäre Atmosphäre im gesamten Haus. ???? Disliked: Bei übernachtung im Mehrbett Zimmer. Wenn man Früh raus muß, fehlt irgendwie eine Räumlichkeit sich in Ruhe um zu ziehen oder gar Tasche packen. Ohne die Mitschläfer zu stören. Aber des ist ein kleines Übel

Dies ist ein wichtiges Ziel von uns, und ich freue mich sehr, dass das Team diese Erwartung erfüllt hat und dass Dir die Lage im Zentrum der Neustadt gefallen hat! Das ist wunderbar zu hören! Zweitens kann ich Deinen Einwand, dass es nicht viel Platz gibt, um früh aufzustehen, ohne die anderen Gäste zu stören, vollkommen nachvollziehen. Das ist bedauerlich, aber sicherlich ein Teil des Aufenthalts in einem Schlafsaal, dass Frühaufsteher und Langschläfer meist zusammenkommen. Ich werde dies jedoch auf jeden Fall mit dem Geschäftsführer besprechen, vielleicht finden wir eine kreative Lösung. Alles Gute aus Dresden, Emma und das Lollis Team

Zweitens können wir absolut verstehen, dass dieses Hippie-Hostel mit seinem Recycling- und Upcycling-Stil nicht jedermanns Sache ist. Ich würde mich über konkretes Feedback zu den Dingen freuen, die du im Hostel als besonders abgenutzt empfunden hast, damit wir uns darum kümmern können. Es tut mir leid, wenn du den Preis nicht fair fandest. Wir sind im Vergleich zu anderen Unterkünften in Dresden recht wettbewerbsfähig und liegen in der Regel eher im günstigeren Bereich, aber die Preise variieren je nach Veranstaltungen, Wochentag, Jahreszeit oder Nachfrage. Liked: Sehr freundliches Personal, liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer, Gemeinschaftsraum zum Chillen. Kostenloses Dinner zweimal die Woche und viele Tipps zu Unternehmungen in Dresden vorhanden. Wirklich ein toller Aufenthalt. Lollis Homestay ist ein schönes Hostel, das ich gerne eines Tages wieder besuchen würde. Nachttischlampen am Bett sowie ein Brett, um Dinge abzustellen & eine Steckdose an diesem Brett waren sehr praktisch. Disliked: Vielleicht hätte es ein paar mehr Duschen / Bäder pro Etage geben können, aber man kam schon hin.

Dein Feedback über die Bäder ist ganz hilfreich, aber leider ist es momentan unmöglich solche Umbauenen zu schaffen, weil wir das Gebäude nur vermieten, und dazu ist dieses Gebäude ganz alt, deshalb ist es schwer weitere Rohrleitungen und Bauarbeiten sind erforderlich.
