El personal amabilísimo. Para el precio que tiene está muy bien, pero es un bloque de pisos viejos reconvertido en hostal. Los baños estaban muy precarios, y mi cama chirriaba cuando me movía lo más mínimo.

Liked: Die Lage war sehr zentral. Das Hostel war super sauber und die Matratze war bequem. Das Aufenthaltsraum war sehr kreativ gestalten und es gab umsonst Tee und andere Aktivitäten.

Liked: Very friendly staff, always eager to help (with a caveat, see "What I didn't like" below) Optimal size of the common areas: big enough not to feel crowded and uncomfortable at all times, yet small enough to foster interaction between guests if they're up for it Disliked: Beware of the British receptionist, who gets easily offended by simple questions such as “When will the showers be cleaned?” (at 14:00). Basically a combination of an overall passive-aggressive attitude with a dismissive “it's done the way it's done, it will be done when it's done” mentality. Metal locker boxes are quite old and can be tricky to close/open sometimes.

We are also pleased to read your comments about the size of the communal areas. We are very glad to hear this, as we believe it encourages our guests to socialise and make new connections. Unfortunately, you had an unpleasant experience with a receptionist. I will speak to her directly about this, but I suspect she may have been stressed at the time. Based on your description, I think it happened around lunchtime when there was a lot going on at reception (check-outs, cleaning, laundry delivery, first guest arrivals, etc.). I would like to apologise for this, but also defend my colleague to some extent. We are still in the high season, and the shifts at reception are very challenging when the hotel is fully booked. It's sometimes hard to get the balance right in our interactions with guests when the shifts are so tough. However, we always try our best, and I am sorry that this happened! Liebe Gästin, hab vielen lieben Dank für deine wunderbare Bewertung. „Wahnsinnig tolle Atmosphäre“ ist ein so schönes Kompliment. Dein Lob an unsere Mitarbeiterinnen gebe ich gern weiter. Ich vermute, dass die „Muffigkeit” des Zimmers daher rührt, dass es diese Woche mit sechs Personen voll belegt war. Unsere Putzleute reinigen und lüften die Zimmer täglich gründlich. Es freut uns auch sehr, dass dir unsere Gästeevents so gut gefallen haben und dass unser Bemühen, unsere Gäste zusammenzubringen, ein gutes Gemeinschaftsgefühl schafft. Honestly a really nice hostel. I didn’t stay long but it feels like a traditional hostel, people are nice and the place is clean and safe. I’d 100% recommend it. If you go to Dresden, stay here. You will be happy you did!! ????

The price is low and it's in a good location, but I didn't like the hostel itself. I wasn't as clean as it appeared in the photos and the wall were all covered with obnoxious political stickers. The bed was uncomfortable and it was loud until after midnight. It's cheap, but overall, it wasn't the best.
Dear Guest,We are very sorry that the hostel itself did not live up to your expectations. We always want our guests to leave Dresden with a nice, pleasant memory of their time with us. Please be assured, the rooms and common areas are cleaned thoroughly daily, and we will continue to our best to ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the hostel. However, I would also like to point out, we are still in the high-travel-season, and almost immediately after cleaning (and even often during) guests come immediately into the spaces and make the spaces dirty again quickly. As for the stickers, this is quite simply our way and also comes from other guests, and we like it. We certainly believe it is important to spread the anti-fascist message, given the current state of the world, and we are very open about our message. This we would not change, although appreciate it was not to your taste. I am very suprised about the bed, as we have recently swapped out our matresses for new ones, but we will certainly investigate it further.Kind regards,Emma- Lollis Homestay

Disliked: Very loud location. It was nearly impossible to sleep due to the noise of the nightclubs and the tram. We had to make our own bed.

Our hostel is located in the middle of Neustadt, Dresden's bar and nightlife district, and it can be quite noisy here, especially on weekends, because there are many bars and clubs around our hostel. We actually communicate this in our accommodation description. The fact that you had to provide your own bed linen is actually standard practice in hostels. Perhaps you were expecting a hotel stay and chose us because of our particularly low prices? What a great Hostel. Really good service (fast, friendly and efficient). The breakfast is also good. It's at least vegetarian. The bed is in good shape even when it is not new. It's a cozy hostel.

Great stay, the crowd is pretty young and the area has a lot of great bars filled with a younger college audience. Very nice. The room, however, was a decent little walk from the downtown Dresden area

This is the best hostel I have stayed at! The vibe was amazing, the staff were lovely and very easy and quick to communicate with via email regarding checkin, the walking tour and hiking guides are awesome and we actually extended our stay because we just loved it so much.
