Summer is coming! And what would be a summer without our favourite BRN Festival? The biggest meet- the- neighbourhood- event of the year!

The unique proposition of it is that there’s not one event management that is responsable for the whole festival but each inhabitant, pub, club and organisation. So you’ll find many different things with its own character. There’s no corporated design but lots of lovely selfmade actions. There will be a huge variety of  free concerts, partys, food, theatre and animation events on programme, all weekend long!

By the way BRN means in German Bunte Republik Neustadt and in English Colourful Republic of (Dresden-) Neustadt.

As every year we will also have a small stage in front of Lollis Homestay Hostel with a good choice of local and non- local bands. Do not mind the loud music, but come down to dance with us all night long

The BRN takes place from the 15th to the 17th of June 2012.

Chill out.

For this weekend our hostel will also be the location of the embassy of the Belorussian internet repuvlic Narod.lu.  Yes, indeed. So check-out what they have prepared for you.

It started with 10 friends and a barbecue at the Martin Luther Church, one of the most romantic and beautiful spots in the Neustadt, which is the most coloured and lively quarter of Dresden. Today it is the most famous, free festival for every open minded, tolerant and fun- loving person in Dresden. You still find some non- capitalistic spots, where the real Neustädters love to go beside the beer drinking and sausage eating crowds. Watch out for the streets with the pancake baking children, the chilly, green and quiter places or the awesome partys made by locals. Artists, stages, dance, Firepoi- playing people, self made music, DJ´s, great self made local and international food everywhere a hole weekend long, this is the BRN or the Bunte Republik Neustadt!
