The winter months are perfect for a visit: fewer day tourists, peace and quiet and spectacular lighting conditions for your souvenir photos that you don't have in summer. The temperatures are ideal for hiking with good shoes and weatherproof clothing (be careful of mud, wind or rain, but very rarely snow).
